When Intel INTC +0.00% announced its second-quarter earnings and it revealed that the two-year cadence of Moore’s law has slowed to roughly 2 ½ years or roughly 30 months. Is the 25% increase in the time between semiconductor process nodes a big deal or only a temporary glitch in Intel’s clockwork-like manufacturing machine? Even Intel appears not quite sure.
