Last week, Activision said it had shipped $500 million worth of its new shooter game Destiny, developed by Halo creators Bungie, into retail stores. Today, it said that in its first week, the game made more than $325 million — which works out to about 5.4 million copies. A spokesperson said that number includes both retail and digital sales. Destiny is one of the more closely watched game launches this year because it is completely new rather than a sequel, with high expectations from analysts, though early reviews have been mixed.
